Studio Legal is on the hunt for an experienced Commercial/Business lawyer to join our team!

The position

Our firm and our client base is experiencing a growth spurt, especially in the area of start-ups. An opportunity exists for an experienced commercial/business lawyer with 3-5 years PAE. Any accompanying experience in IP, finance, media, technology, employment and property law will be highly regarded.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to break out of the corporate environment and use their well-developed commercial and business law skills, in a more creative and inspiring setting.  You will be thrown in the deep end and handle a huge variety of legal matters including from drafting contracts, handling commercial disputes, protecting IP, advising start-ups, advising on capital raising and investment, restructuring, selling and purchasing businesses, licensing business models and much more!

This role will also provide the opportunity for you to learn and solidify valuable legal practice skills in the areas of trade marks, copyright, media, designs, entertainment and technology law (all the fun stuff!).

About you

Our ideal candidate is someone intelligent, hardworking, dedicated, client-focused and with a ‘can do’ attitude.  The ability to build and nurture client relationships is of the utmost importance.   You will have worked primarily in commercial/business law since being admitted and be able to hit the ground running upon starting at Studio Legal.

Your ability to work well under pressure, strong attention to detail and organisational skills will see you excel in this role.  Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a positive and professional nature, who is a team player and enjoys what they do.  A passion for the creative industries is a must!
