Studio Legal has an opening for a gun law student or graduate to undertake work experience at our offices, located in Chapel Street, Windsor.

We are not looking for someone to do coffee runs or filing, but to carry out genuine legal tasks such as in-depth legal research, reviewing contracts, preparing first drafts of trade mark and liquor licence applications and helping our lawyers analyse complex legal issues.

The experience we offer will put you ahead of other legal graduates looking for employment and you will acquire practical skills in many areas of law such as trade marks, copyright, employment, corporate, planning, liquor licensing, leasing and media law.

– Final year law student or law graduate
– Ideally looking to complete a placement as part of Practical Legal Training (PLT)
– A demonstrated interest in working as a lawyer in our key practice areas
– A personal interest in creative and cultural areas such as the arts, music, technology, design and food & wine.
– Willingness to learn with a ‘can-do’ attitude
– Friendly and professional demeanour
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Strong attention to detail.

Tasks may include but not be limited to:

– Researching and advising on legislation
– Proofreading and editing agreements
– Reviewing agreement clauses
– Analysing complex legal issues with our lawyers
– Assisting with drafting correspondence
– Preparing trade mark applications
– Researching and writing blogs for the Studio Legal website
– Ad-hoc tasks as required.

This is a rare opportunity to gain invaluable hands on experience working within a boutique law firm servicing the creative industries. Sound like you?  Please send your resume, academic transcript and covering letter explaining why you are suitable for the position, by email to Bree Coker

Due to the anticipated number of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.
